Quality Assurance Technician - First Shift

Starting Pay: $16.00/hr

Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 5:30 am – 4:00 pm

Overview

As part of our FSQA team, you would be responsible for ensuring the overall quality in your assigned area through the management of regulatory, company, and customer policies and programs. You will report directly to the QA manager. To ensure success as a QA Technician, you should have sound knowledge of testing procedures, a good eye for detail, and advanced problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company and customer quality standards are being met

  • Conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, and calibrate equipment

  • Analyze samples for all areas of the processing plant, including raw materials and finished products.

  • Analyze pH, Gluten, and water activity

  • Communicate findings regarding food safety deficiencies to FSQA Manager and provides feedback and recommendations

  • Ensure employees are following safety regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous QA experience is preferred, but not required

  • Maintain a safe working environment

  • Ability to work on the computer and proficiently use Excel and Word Processing

  • Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards

  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
