Production Manager - Second Shift

Overview

Provides leadership for a team of employees and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Ready-To-Eat (RTE) department and ensures the department is implementing and sustaining employee safety, food safety, quality, and performance standards.  This position will identify deficiencies immediately, provide, implement, and sustain solutions, and validate that the outcome meets defined standards.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervises plant production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety, and excellent practices to produce the highest quality products

  • Supervises and coordinates food production activities, planning work schedules and assignments to meet production goals

  • Sets clear expectations and goals for team members, provides training and support for the team, measuring and monitoring performance against goal and objectives and providing feedback, mentoring, and support

  • Communicate effectively with line personnel and management

  • Enforce compliance to company rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and fair working environment for plant workers

  • Critically monitor and review the daily line performance and make improvements or adjustments as needed

  • Provide leadership and physical presence throughout the shift to achieve company objectives
