Plant Production Manager

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of nationally branded products. You will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. Ability to direct team members towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements

  • Oversee plant production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety, and excellent practices to produce the highest quality products

  • Oversee and coordinate food production activities, planning work schedules, and assignments to meet production goals

  • Set clear expectations and goals for team members

  • Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production team members

  • Communicate effectively with team members and other management

  • Enforce compliance to company rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and fair working environment for plant workers

  • Critically monitor and review the daily line performance and make improvements or adjustments as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a manager

  • Extensive knowledge of production management

  • Understanding of quality standards and food safety regulations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards

  • Ability to coach and motivate employees
