Overview

At Landmark Snacks, the oven operator is an integral part to the production process. The oven operator supervises the cooking process for our products. As part of your responsibilities, you set up, monitor, and adjust oven temperature and time controls. You’ll examine the products during and after cooking to ensure product quality. Oven operators then load and unload products from the oven for the next step in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Cook products according to established standards

• Maximize oven use to ensure oven is loaded to capacity and filled at all times when necessary

• Prep, load, and unload ovens

• Monitor cooking throughout the day

• Take and record preliminary PH and Water Activity readings

• Download oven graphs

• Clean ovens on a prescribed schedule

• Make changes to oven programs as directed

Skills and Qualifications

• Related food production experience is preferred, but not required

• Must be able to lift and push 50+ pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

• Noise level is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area – earplugs are required in some areas
