Quality Control/Lab Technician
Starting Pay: $17.00/hr
Work Schedule: 4 pm - job completion
Responsibilities:

Analyze samples for all areas of the processing plant, including raw materials and finished products.

Analyze pH, Gluten, and water activity
-
Assist in the implementation and compliance with HACCP programs that support the safe handling of food

Assist with maintaining equipment

Conduct chemical and microbiological analysis

Collect data, record, and analyze trends for different products
-
Communicate findings regarding food safety deficiencies to FSQA Manager and provides feedback and recommendations
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance principles, food science, and meat processing
-
Practical knowledge of food safety programs including GMP’s, SSOP’s and HACCP
-
Laboratory background is preferred

Ability to work on the computer and proficiently use Excel and Word Processing software
-
Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards

Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
-
Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills
